Paccar making inroads in Indian truck segment?

After Navistar , there's another American truck maker drawing plans for an India entry. The Washington headquartered Paccar is apparently scouting for opportunities including inorganic ones to be in India. If Paccar enters India, it will be a major challenge for existing players like Ashok Leyland , Tata Motors and even Mahindra International , which is going to launch their medium and heavy commercial vehicles towards the end of next year and early 2009.

If Paccar enters the Indian market, it will have good and strong products which will challenge existing players.

History: PACCAR Inc: PCAR is the 3^rd Largest manufactured of Heavy duty Trucks in the world after (Dailmer AG and VOLVO) and has substantial manufactured in  Light and Medium vehicles.
